LGBT Qmunity Celebrates Halloween With Bingo

“Darkness falls across the land/ The Bingo hour is close at hand/ Creatures crawling in search of blood/ Will terrorize Westover Country Club.”

[Bridgeport, PA]— On Saturday, October 29^th the LGBT Qmunity Center of Montgomery County celebrated Halloween with their annual Mas”queer”ade Bingo at the Westover Country Club. The night consisted of family and “fiends” dressing in their most festive and ghoulish costumes taking over the country club. They toasted and “feared” with cocktails and a delicious spread provided by caterer T’Dori, located in Conshohocken, PA. Through the event attendees were playing for the chance to win cash and big raffle prizes donated from the night’s array of sponsors. Guests were entertained throughout the event from the lovely and “boo”tiful hosts Summer Clearance and Thunder Showers. Not only did they host the event, but Thunder Showers capped off the night with an amazing performance of “The Time Warp” from the cult classic Rocky Horror Picture Show. But Thunder and Summer were not the only two entertaining the guests; they were joined by the marvelous drag queens:

• Mary D-Knight
• Iada Johnson
• Morgan Fox 

These fantastic ladies entertained during the games and gave fantastic musical renditions transporting the guests into the macabre of Halloween.The night ended with a costume contest where attendees competed for Best Costume, Best Group, Scariest Costume, Best Couple, and Funniest Costume. It was also happily announced that in just six weeks the LGBT Qmunity Center would host its annual Holly-“gay” Bingo on Saturday, December 10^th again at the Westover Country Club. The night will have even more fantastic performances from our lovely ladies, and if the Mas”queer”ade  bingo was a sign of things to come then Holly-”gay”Bingo will truly be a night to remember. LGBT Qmunity Center Hosts Beef & Beer

[Bridgeport, PA]—On Saturday, September 24^th the LGBT Qmunity Center of Montgomery County hosted a “Beef and Beer” fundraiser at the Bridgeport Fire House. The night consisted of delicious food and drinks, fantastic raffle prizes, and outstanding entertainment from DJ Party Time. Through the night both members of the nonprofit and the surrounding communities engaged in a night of dancing and comradery while helping promote and fund such a great cause. The event helped benefit and fund the LGBT Qmunity Center’s upcoming events and programs, such as, the Trans Support Group, Youth Programs, Arts and Culture, LGBT Family events, and raising general awareness and support for the LGBT community. Joe Cairo, LGBT Qmunity Center’s President, stated “Tonight was a marvelous success for the group. This will continue to help promote and fund our upcoming events and programs. After tonight I hope to have more continued support from Montgomery County and the surrounding communities to help raise awareness for the LGBT community as a whole.” 

During the night, it was happily announced that the LGBT Qmunity Center will host a Halloween themed event in the coming month. On Saturday, October 29^th there will be a “Masqueerade Bingo” at the Westover Country Club in Jeffersonville, PA starting at 5:30 PM with tickets costing $40 per person.
